One word: AWESOME

As promised, a review of Jason Mraz’s concert in KL. A super quick post since I’m still pretty high over the experience. Anyhows, this was our view of the stage whilst waiting for the concert to start:

A big note of thanks to KF who insisted we get the RM 138 tix so that Jason Mraz would be taller than the size of our thumb. KF also deserves my thanks for driving us to/from Stadium Negara and taking us to a post-concert supper on Petaling Street:

The trip was already going quite well when I managed to get return airtix for only RM70 odd, but it was made even sweeter when I arrived and Lis told me that my concert tix was an early birthday present! Yay, I <3 Ellis!

As for the concert proper:

Mr A-Z was in his element the whole night, improv-ing on all his songs, and exchanging witty banter with the crowd. From 8.30 pm til 10.00 pm, he entertained us with a selection which included radio hits Geek in the Pink, I’m Yours, Lucky and Remedy, as well as those not on the radio play list but equally fantabulous songs like Make it Mine, A Beautiful Mess, Butterfly, Live High, Wordplay. My favourite parts of the concert has to be when he linked The Remedy to Oasis’ Wonderwall, when he taught the crowd some dance moves for The Dynamo of Volition, asking all the confident men to sing some high notes (LOL), his introduction and polariod shots of himself and his band at the very end.

All in all, a great night which truly justified Mraz’s billing as a fantastic live performer. My only gripe was the non-existent airconditioning in Stadium Negara which left us all bathed in our own sweat. >__< Now…should I go frame my concert tix or not huh….
