KK(1) – Bernard & Janice
One of the unexpected things I got to do on my recent trip to KK was to do a posed photo shoot. I’m not sure if “posed” is the right term for it but basically in my books, it means photographing people in a directed or controlled setting. I.e. sit here, do this, do that, look here, look there…I think you get the drift.
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of these sorta shoots. One is because for the life of me, I don’t know how to “pose” the subjects. And two, because I prefer street photography more as I reckon they are more honest / natural depictions of a person as an individual.
Having said that, I surprisingly had a great time with Bernard and Janice. Probably they were both so co-operative and natural with each other. And, it also helped that there was another photographer on the side who was doing all the directing. So I merely had to shoot away with minimal fuss.
Here is a selection of my favourite shots:
Don’t they look so sweet?
