R&R – SG1(3) – Nectarie, Pump, Satay & Stingray
Behold, yummyliciousness for all sweet tooths around:
Oh, just to be clear. I meant the cake. Not the babe. Ahaks
The place to go for all things sweet and luscious: Nectarie le’ Dessert Patisserie.
After that, it was time for some serious partying at the Pump Room:
Which had an awesome live band working the crowds that night:
Of course, the other highlight was Li being forced to get up on stage with the band when it came to birthday shout-outs
:
Karma is a funny thing though, because Damian kena ‘victimised’ next when he was asked to ’satisfy’ 2 brides-to-be on stage:
And ‘perform’ he did, excellently! LOL
Ah wells, it was all good fun and we enjoyed dancing away a few kilos that night:
Plus, 2 am satay supper made sure everyone went home happy:
I just need to say though that I found it odd eating satay in Singapore.
Anyway, the entire day’s album neatly organised here:

So I turned a year older yesterday…
And the day could be best summed up as: when you’re well fed, you know you’re well loved.
Breakfast of champions: mee sua (foochow long life noodles in chicken soup)
Goodness knows what time my folks got up that morning to make it. Must’ve been quite early as the preparation for this dish is no joke. The chicken soup itself is a killer.
So yeah, I felt so loved already first thing in the morning.
Caked out:
Cake 1 – fruit sponge & cream cake from my insurance agent
What can I say, the lady has fantastic PR skills.
I hope she gave the bakery a good sounding though for mis-spelling my name though, even if it is quite apt considering what line of work I’m in.
Cake 2 – oreo cheese cake from the office
The picture is misleading though because we never got to eat that cake that I’m holding there in the end. It was subsequently replaced by a banana & chocolate cake because a colleague thought it was bad on account of tasting sourish.
Cake 3 – lemon curd cake from the folks
Simply put, Hilton – yummy.
Dinner at Sarawak Club:
The star of the show – Vietnamese prawns baby!! *droolzzzz*
Rest of pictures are here:
